Watch our podcast with Sergei and Vadim Revzin to learn how you can stand out in a competitive field:

Sergei and Vadim Revzin are twin brothers and Co-Founders of School16, an online education company that helps people break into lucrative tech careers without learning how to code. Prior to this the brothers served as professors and investors at New York University and its Entrepreneurial Institute, ran entrepreneurship programs at orgs like Venture for America, and were operators at several high growth technology startups in Boston, NYC and now in Mexico City. Sergei and Vadim are also writers on Forbes and Harvard Business Review where they write about topics like entrepreneurship, venture capital, and the future of adult education.

Sell Yourself!

We begin our conversation by learning about Sergei and Vadim’s background. They talk about their experience as immigrants, their parents’ belief in the value of education, and the gap in education both brothers noticed. As important as formal education is, it doesn’t always prepare graduates for life in the workforce. Sergei and Vadim started School16 to bridge that gap.

How do they prepare people to enter a competitive field? One of the tenets that Vadim and Sergei teach is how to sell yourself. Getting jobs today is so much more difficult and time-consuming than it used to be. Today, it’s imperative to expand your network and maintain a growth mindset.

Many of us can have self-doubt during this process, especially you’re among an underrepresented group. But Vadim and Sergei help their students build confidence and grow their network by reaching out with confidence.

Our podcast ends with some of Sergei and Vadim’s top actionable tips to stand out in a competitive field and work in your dream job.
