Something they don’t teach you…

Brian has been in sales since childhood, and he’s loved it. Through is sales career, Brian realized the importance of good copywriting. Especially in an age where many businesses are online-only, telling your story the right way is vital to attracting and keeping clients and customers.

His sales experience also helped him master the skill of copywriting. Brian reports that knowing about buying behavior, human psychology, and decision processes guided his writing. Understanding your clients’ thinking will enable you to speak to what matters to them. So, keep your sales hat on when you write copy!

Sales, entrepreneurship, and marking education often overlooks copywriting. Because of this, it’s is often a blind spot for entrepreneurs. According to Brian, no matter how good your product or service is, no matter how good the price is, you can’t be successful if you can’t be successful without good writing. You have to tell your story, speak to your ideal clients’ concerns, and be remembered.

The conversation ends with Brian’s recommendation for listeners: Learn the PAS method. P is for problem/pain point. What is your ideal client struggling with? A is for aggravate/amplify. Emphasize how big the problem is. S is for solution. You have the product or service to eliminate or ease that problem.
